Title VI Program
The Texas State University Bobcat Shuttle operates its programs and services in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
Texas State University's Bobcat Shuttle is a recipient of federal assistance and is required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The objectives of the Title Program are to:
- ensure the Bobcat Shuttle complies with the non-discrimination requirements of Title VI
- ensure all persons receive the benefits of the activities of the Bobcat Shuttle
- ensure limited English proficient individuals are provided meaningful access to Bobcat Shuttle information
- avoid, minimize or mitigate disproportionate adverse environmental effects, including social and economic effects, on communities of color and low income populations as a result of the Bobcat Shuttle’s programs, services and activities; and
- establish clear procedures for filing, investigating, and successfully resolving complaints on a timely basis and at the lowest level possible.
Filing a Discrimination Complaint with Texas State University
Any person who believes they have been discriminated against can file a complaint with the Texas State University.
The office of Equal Opportunity & Title IX at Texas State University is responsible for overseeing and enforcing the university’s equal opportunity policies and for investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
Filing a Discrimination Complaint with the Federal Transit Administration
Complaints shall be submitted in writing on the FTA’s Civil Rights Complaint Form and must be signed by the complainant and/or the complainant’s representative. Complaints shall set forth as fully as possible the facts and circumstances surrounding the claimed discrimination.
